According to SlashFilm, Kevin Smith tweeted that Kyle Gallner is playing a “Wayne Gretzky-Like” character (not actually Gretzky) in his upcoming hockey movie titled Hit Somebody. Gallner has just finished working with Smith on Red State and also had significant parts in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, The Haunting in Connecticut and Jennifer’s Body. He’s also appeared on many TV shows including Big Love, Veronica Mars and Smallville as Bart Allen aka The Flash.

Hit Somebody is based on a Warren Zevon song with lyrics by acclaimed writer Mitch Albom. The song tell a story of a hockey player who strives to score just one goal in a hockey game. You can hear the song in the video below. Enjoy!
