Sound On Sight Radio #234: Director Claude Chabrol

Credited as a father of the French New Wave, Claude Chabrol’s career spanned over 5 decades and included everything from arthouse classics, police dramas and psychological thrillers. With his passing last month, Cinema lost one of its most consistently challenging and engaging voices. This week Derek, Justine and Simon celebrate the life and films of Claude Chabrol by examining three of the French master’s films: the 1960 Early New Wave drama Les Bonnes Femmes, the 1978 court drama/thriller Violette Noziere, and the 1994 psychological snuff film L’enfer.
