Having said that, Almodóvar is my favorite director and it would be extremely hard for him to disappoint me. Broken Embraces ddoesn't score very high on my list of favorite Almodóvar flicks, but I have to admit that I prefer it to Volver. I’ve only read lukewarm reviews of the movie, but I liked it myself.
