Today’s Track of the Day comes courtesy of hazy singer-songwriter Kurt Vile, whose Smoke Ring for My Halo (Matador) is one of the year’s best albums. “Runner Ups” might be its best track, a haunting, impeccably produced, wonderfully meandering ode to loss and distraction.
Simon Howell is a native Haligonian (look it up), and has lived in Montreal roughly half his life. He joined Sound On Sight in 2008 and has since become a member of the OFCS (Online Film Critics Society). Currently he co-hosts and co-produces 'Sound On Sight Radio' as well as the 'Front Row Center' videocast, and attends Film Studies at Concordia University.
