Trailer and Clip for “Jeff Bridges: The Dude Abides”
Regular listeners of the Sound On Sight radio show know that I am a huge fan of Jeff Bridges. We’ve dedicated an entire hour to him last year with the release of Crazy Heart, and another two shows at the end of 2010, featuring reviews of Tron: Legacy and True Grit. And just last week we reviewed yet another film starring the actor – the critically acclaimed boxing film, Fat City by director John Huston.
Tomorrow night the PBS American Masters series will devote a 90-minute episode to Jeff Bridges, celebrating his work in what is approrially titled Jeff Bridges: The Dude Abides. The documentary will focus on his entire career and will include interviews with Terry Gilliam, Robin Williams, John Goodman, Cybil Shephard, T-Bone Burnett, and many more. To promote the show, which will air tomorrow at 8 P.M. EST, PBS premiered a clip where you see Bridges visit a shop in New York called The Little Lebowski.
