Here is the trailer for The Future, written, directed and staring Miranda July. The film follows the story about a 30 something couple whose lives change because of a cat. A hit at this year’s Berlin and Sundance festivals, the film is sprinkled with July’s strange humour and surreal touches. This marks the second film by Miranda July, whose first feature Me and You and Everyone We Know won four awards at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival (including the Camera d’Or) and a Special Jury Prize at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. July is also an artist and writer, whose work has shown at the Museum of Modern Art, Guggenheim Museum and two Whitney Biennials, and whose fiction has appeared in Harper’s and The New Yorker.
