Trailer: ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ is more of the same

Resident Evil: Retribution
Written by Paul W.S. Anderson
Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson
USA, 2012

The fifth installment in the video game adaptation franchise, Retribution just looks confusing for people not familiar with it (like myself) – The last stand, the final battle, the beginning of the end…all takes place AFTER movies called Apocalypse and Extinction? Yes, the action looks sleek enough, but I just can’t get excited for this. Near the end of the footage, we get the words “Milla Jovovich in 3D”. THAT should’ve been the title.

Synopsis via IMDB:

Alice fights alongside a resistance movement in the continuing battle against the Umbrella Corporation and the undead.

Residing in the Metro area of New Orleans, Bill writes about movies in an effort to one up the great cartoon film critic Jay Sherman. An AMC Stubs member AND an advocate for MoviePass, he enjoys going to the theatre for any reason, unless Dane Cook is involved. His favorite films include Orson Welles' The Trial, Inland Empire, Safety Last! and, of course, Trash Humpers. His advice to filmmakers - "The audience is expendable. Have fun with that."

I never actually watched the other films – but with sub titles like Apocalypse and Extinction, I kind of just assumed the world was under attack. I suppose I should update this post…

i think it says “Evil goes global”, it means that they’re not gonna stick in ooly one place like the other resident evil movies, like, in this one, apparently, Alice is gonna appear in different countries and stuff.. but I guess that’s kindda obvious so..whatever..I just think that’s one way to look at it..
