Tribeca 2012 announces the lineups for its Spotlight, Cinemania, and Special Screenings programs

Yes, spring film festival season is almost here again. The 11th edition of the Tribeca Film Festival unveiled a whole lot of its programming this morning, and there are some items of note. Sarah Polley’s Take This Waltz graces the Spotlight section, along with 33 other selections, including Julie Delpy’s 2 Days In Ney York (co-starring Chris Rock), Marjane Strapi’s (Persepolis) live-action debut Chicken With Plums, the Kaanu Reeves-produced doc on the digital film revolution Side By Side, and Lynn Shelton’s Humpday follow-up, Your Sister’s Sister.  The Cinemania section, which skew towards genre pics, features the intriguing Revenge For Jolly! with Kristen Wiig, Garrett Dillahunt, Kevin Corrigan, and others, as well as Canadian home-invasion thriller Replicas from first-timer Jeremy Regimbal. For a full listing of each lineup, as well as the newly announced slates for the ESPN Sports Film and World Narrative and Documentary programs, over at the Festival site.
