Keep in mind it comes from the director of Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. Also Lee Unkrich co-directed Toy Story 2. It's also interesting that Michael Arndt, writer of Little Miss Sunshine is penning this film. I may not be a huge fan of sequels but Pixar has already proven them worthy of the task with Toy Story 2, a sequel in which he directed.
