Hosted by Sound on Sight podcaster, Justine Smith, Cross-Cut Montreal is a weekly program made for CUTV. CUTV is a community station that serves the needs of the Concordia and Montreal community, in recent months it has made it’s name as the essential source for information on the Student Protest movement, thanks to their innovative live feed broadcasts. Cross-Cut Montreal is part of their growing film programming, which similarly includes Fade to Black. Meant to showcase the best that the Montreal film community has to offer, Cross-Cut is always looking for suggestions and feedback.

Born in Montreal, Justine Smith is currently enrolled in her second year of study in the Film Studies program at Concordia University. She has worked on a wide-range of amateur film productions, and continues to pursue making short films in her spare time. Justine has written for Twitch, and has her own film blog, Houseofmirthandmovies, which she has been writing for since January 2008. She has contributed to Soundonsight as a writer since early 2010, and has since joined the team as a co-host on their weekly podcast. Her favorite films are 'The Red Shoes', 'Catch-22', 'Jules et Jim', 'The Night of the Hunter', 'McCabe and Mrs. Miller'. Her favorite directors are Ingmar Bergman, Robert Altman, Michael Powell, Alfred Hitchcock &Ernst Lubitsch.
