Gregory,

Unfortunately, I do think we were watching the same film. Like I said in my review, I agree with you 100% that the man has a more than fascinating life and his stories are well worth hearing, and that hearing about his films would be a lazy and lackluster excuse for a documentary if anything (let's face it, with over 100 films under his belt, the man's got some duds.) I just really didn't like the topic, question, answer, format the film falls into. I still would recommend this film to a Trejo fan, I would also warn them that although the film is about an interesting subject and compelling stories, the delivery is disappointingly flat.
Thanks for the feedback,
Numbnut

What film were you watching????????

Champion was an amazing film! I loved the editing and the story telling! It seems that Danny's life has a lot to it then just his FILMS. I commend the filmmakers for choosing to tell us about what we don't know about already, his life outside of his movies. we all know what films he's done, why do we need the filmmakers to tell us about his films? go to netlfix and get his films. i love that this film tells us about everything else that he went through to get to hollywood stardom. i want to know bout the drugs, prison, and everything he went through other then his movies.

The artwork you posted here by the way is way old and not the current artwork for the actual DVD that was released for sale. The copy you watched was an older copy that was released at film festivals. you need to watch the current version of the film before you make write a terrible review. i know this because i did my research. go to netflix to get the latest copy of the film.

You need to watch this film again, the current film, and open your eyes to what you're watching.
