Watch the First Clip from Alexander Payne’s Cannes Entry, ‘Nebraska’

The line-up for the Cannes Film Festival this year is pretty incredible. It includes Inside Llewyn Davis, Only God Forgives, The Congress, The Bling Ring, As I Lay Dying, Blood Ties, All Is Lost, and Nebraska, the new film from Alexander Payne (The Descendants, Election). The plot centers on an aging alcoholic (Bruce Dern) who convinces his estranged son (Will Forte) to take a road trip from Montana to Nebraska to collect what he believes to be a million dollar Publisher’s Clearing House prize. The first clip from the film has been released online and it features another veteran actor, Stacy Keach. The film premieres Thursday, May 23, but if you can’t make it down to the festival, Paramount Vantage plans to release it in theatres on November 22. Watch the clip below.
